- When will DV-2027 registration open?
- There is a court decision obliging the US authorities to open DV-2027 registration. We are now waiting for the official decision and the announcement with dates. An entry can be submitted only after that, on the State Department’s official site. We follow the announcements and will write to you the same day.
- Can I enter right now?
- No. Until the State Department opens registration, no entry can be submitted. If someone says they have already submitted your DV-2027 entry, it is not true.
- Can a married couple submit two entries?
- Yes. Each spouse submits their own entry and lists the other. If either of you is selected, the family can go together. Fill in a separate form for each.
- Do I list children who will not move?
- Yes. All unmarried children under 21, even if they live elsewhere or do not plan to immigrate. Leave out only those who are already US citizens or permanent residents.
- I do not live in Ukraine. Can I enter?
- Yes. Eligibility depends on the country of birth. You may live anywhere, including Europe or the USA.
- Why submit together in a video session?
- The State Department advises that if someone helps you, you should be present when the entry is prepared. You see every field, pay the $1 fee yourself and see the confirmation number.
- Can it be submitted fully automatically, without me?
- No, and we do not do that. The State Department site has protection against automated entries, the fee is paid with the entrant’s card, and mass entries from one address are treated as a sign of fraud. Everything else is automatic: checking, Latin spelling, photos and the scan.
- What happens to my data?
- Photos and the passport scan are deleted 30 days after submission. The form and the confirmation number are kept for 2 years after submission, to remind you about results and to help if you are selected.
